I am headed out tomorrow to the ANA National Money Show in Colorado Springs. Anyone here going? I did not go to the NYINC this year. This is a substitute trip. There are 11 ancient dealers on the list. The CNG auction has only 1 item on my radar. My fingers are crossed that something interesting pops up. I was not looking for an electrum coin from Brutium a couple of years at a TNA show that had few ancient dealers, but this coin picked my interest. It was misattributed.
It's a great thing for ancient numismatics, I think, that the ANA has partnered with CNG for the National Money Show.

I had a good time today. Saw several ancient dealers and a few folks listened to my carry on about roman / Byzantine scale weights. I have not walked as much in low temperatures in a long time. The first ancient dealer I passed did not have anything for me, but he did let me hold a decadrachm! I picked up a fossil for my daughter.... and an astragalos fossil for me.
