I don't think a spitting horse has two lines coming out of its mouth. I know I'm not seeing double check it out yourself are those scratches? Also isn't some of his left knee missing more than usual?
If it's raised, it looks like minor die cracks. It may also be a scratch but I can't tell from the pic Remember, spitting eagles, spitting horses, IN GOD WE RUST, etc are just minor errors/varieties that people have given fancy names in the hopes of selling them to new collectors who don't know any better. There really is no market for these other than "find the next newbie to dump it on". Unfortunately, this seems to happen regularly on ebay.
Looks like a scratch to me. They aren’t long enough. It’s close but both marks come out of a different area and lead in different directions from the known ones.
When they first came out I found a few spitting horse and the motto had a clogged die so State ended up as Stat. No pictures sorry.
