    Hi guys,

I have this 2018 P Roosevelt Dime and noticed on the reverse that there is a piece of metal that is folded over and almost looks like and extra leaf on the Olive Branch. Can some explain what this is please??

Can a die chip be folded over like that? I see that there is piece of metal missing from the olive branch above it.

Oh nice! Thanks for taking the time to really look at this dime and confirm what I thought was to be the case.

To me it looks like foreign metal that embedded into the coin.

I believe you are correct in assuming it might be a lamination that detached from the leaf (upper right) and that piece was pressed into the design. Just my observation.
    Let's get @Fred Weinberg opinion.
