Rim burr struck through?

    Or should I say, struck through rim burr? :smuggrin:
    Just pulled this out of a roll.

    So it's been pointed out that it looks like it's been peeled back, like it was metal gouged out. But I'm not seeing any copper showing inside the gouge.

    Now I'm wondering if that's part of the original debris that got struck through.

    Interesting. I would venture to guess that it old PMD and the edges of the gouge have been smoothed off from circulation. The piece on the rim seems to be showing copper, which would make sense.
