Just ran across this in a BK Auction and because I don't see many of these, I thought I'd alert members that may be interested. https://bid.bkauctions.com/1994-Ame...ank-of-Black-River-Proctorsville-VT_i44468831
No, but Danforth and Wright also used the same allegorical motif for the $5 note issued by the Bank of East Tennessee out of Knoxville.
Not me, but know it as the Green Mountain state...also for its maple syrup. In conjunction with another member's post (from yesterday I think) asking for things one doesn't see anymore...and since this is asking about being from Vermont...I submit Vermont Maid syrup...with the maid(en) on the green label...was the best back in the day. Not sure if they just downsized to regional or they're defunct altogether, or when, if so, but believe it was a national brand at one time...we got it on the west coast back in the 50s forward...can't recall when I last saw it. Vermont Maid syrup on pancakes...a blast from the past...MMMmmm...!
Yup, I am. I'm a little less than an hour away from Proctorville but I do not collect obsolete notes. Vermont Maid Syrup — Vermont Historical Society (vermonthistory.org)
