That may well be the most attractive Jefferson I have ever seen. The toning is jaw dropping.

 

I have hundreds of Jefferson war nickels now. This is probably the most attractive. MS 67 NGC

 

Wouldn't call it attractive but rather unique,i like it.

 

Yeah those photos were in with the war nickels so I just posted them. I post off my cell phone, so once I hit the upload photo button I can't tell what I'm posting lol.

 

All those pretty war nickels made me look again at the one I have in my type set and go ugh! Time to go get a nice one. I'm going to Lakeland, FL show next week so I'll look there. And please don't beat me up for spelling "nickel" as "nickle". I'll fix it, I promise.

 

I pulled this from circulation. There is more luster and toning in hand.
In the early 1990's I was working in a liquor store in Louisville, CO. (Huge fire there recently in the news.) Well all day a nickel with odd toning was looking up at me from the cash register. It didn't look old, and I never gave it out in change all day but I didn't really look at it. Towards the end of the shift I finally pulled it out of the tray, and realized what it was and replaced it with a face value pocket nickel.

Well dang….. They aren’t as pretty as most in this thread are. I picked these up a couple years ago with the intent of doing a full set of war nickels. Then I put them in the safe and forgot about them…. Now, I reckon I have to finish what I started!
