2002 Louisiana State Quarters. Nothing noted showing on the obverse, just the reverse. Just to the left of the west coast and directly above pelican tail feathers.

What is that? Same location on each coin.

Those were in a roll? Probably a Struck Through small debris. The debris got stuck on the Die and it did it to all the Quarters in question.

New Yes from the Mint. So what are they considered?

Let me rephrase what I said.
A struck through would be a hard object struck into the coin, usually just one coin.
On your coins it seems that something was stuck on the Die and repeatedly struck each blank planchet and left an impression.

So an Error Kind of? Also i bought lots of state Mint Bags and Mint Rolls. It was years ago, i dont recall if any were found in the rolls but for sure the bags. I almost feel like breaking the remaining rolls out and checking them. I bought state coins like crazy back then.

Maybe a type of error but NAV. I wouldn't quit my day job just yet though.;)

…OR…it could be some other die flaw, incused or raised…a die gouge or die dent?

Interesting to see it on so many.

It seemed to me, that when the Louisiana was a weak so is the Error. All eight coins, the obverse for each seemed better even on the weaker Louisiana strikes.

Coins 4 especially seems weaker. Also the Pelican tail feathers.
