Is this a new discovery extra metal below torch, and left side plant, right side plant leaf at stem second set of leaves, and above eye, in hair same height as middle of forehead
It is quite common to find Die Chips of modern Roosevelt dimes. It seem odd to me that these die chips can manifest themselves in the middle of the dies designs (on hair) but they do.They show up all over it. And some are quite abundant. Die Chips do not really add any value to your coin as they are commonly found.
Don't expect it to be shown on the cover of Coin World magazine. IDB's .. Interior Die Breaks are common. As stated before.
So I came across another 2017 d dime with same extra metal I'm going to call it extra hair but this one is black with gold on obverse
2017 Roosevelt D Error Dime,Never seen before,Double Die 7,and tear drops falling from Roosevelt's head.
