    @Peter T Davis - this is Evelyb30 from Antiquers. This site is reachable, but the other keeps saying:
    Your connection is not private
    Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.antiquers.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more

    NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID

    (sorry couldn't figure out another way to get this message out) Also haven't gotten any confirmation email even though I used my Antiquers email address.

    FWIW - by mail protocol cointalk's mail provider is supposed to be blocked because it is set up incorrectly. Well behaved mail servers reject, not block, cointalk's email because it is says it is from a non-existing mail server. The only way to get cointalk email is if you have a misconfigured mail server.

    There is an authority record but NO server IP address record. Email from ghost machines are SUPPOSED to be rejected.

    Some good info. to be sure. The only thing I would add is that your (a person's) computer tech-savvy can be a hindrance. I am somewhat intimidated with all the jargon and terms often associated/used, and don't always understand the extent or limits being explained/offered in the "settings." Have had it where it changes something, but it also changes something else not mentioned, and then hard to go back to change it without the change...or something like that, etc. Another variation/example of this is that the settings explained are not user-friendly to everyone...only those more familiar to/with computers, their language, meanings, terms, etc. Better to go with the free providers as mentioned and leave the defaults in place...don't go poking around because you may never find your way back...! :woot:

    Hello @Silver Seeker and welcome to Coin Talk! I suggest you contact one of the Mods for help if that doesn't change in a day or two! It doesn't look like there are any Mods on here right now, but you can find them if you click the "Members" tab at the top then click the Staff Members" tab!! It appears you have not been completely verified yet, so please be patient!!!:):)

    Okay, my account seems to be working fine!
    But, something isn't right with emails.
    I've checked the email address within my CT account profile and its seems to be correct, yet I'm not getting CT forum emails?
    I never got the first email CT verification email either?
    I'm using a desktop computer and Thunderbird for an email client, there is NO email spam filters set within my computers.
    I checked my account sever Armstrong (zoominternet) and there is a spam box there, but I looked through everything in the upline account and I couldn't find any emails from CT forum.
    So, as of yet I've not actually did the two set verification process, I'm assuming that I still need to that, I'm just at a loss about no CT emails?
    I would like to get the email notifications working, I know they work on other forum's I've been on.

    Update, I went into my profile and I checked again make certain my email address is correct, I then decided to try the manual 2-step verification process, all seemed good, even to the point where I selected to enable email verification, it stated an email with a verification code had been sent to my email address! I never got it? I again check my sever email account and there isn't anything in the spam box at present?
    I repeated the 2-Set process a second time and its still not working, unless the confirmation email is going to take an extended period of time to get to me?

    Okay, my problem seems to be with my server Armstrong Zoominternet. I decided to try my backup yahoo email address and that worked, I was able to complete the 2-step verification process. Seems it possible that a web mail address may be a better option for Coin Talk emails.
