So I was messing around with my half's and I noticed that my 1967 has some doubling on the reverse mainly noticable in the words HALF DOLLAR I have spent time on variety vista looking but can't find any match's. Maybe I just I'm not looking at the right markers any help greatly appreciated.
I'm not seeing any doubling but VV does list a bunch for 1967 and they are pretty minor, still silver is silver. http://varietyvista.com/12 Kennedy Halves/DDRs 1967.htm
I think I see some deteriorated die doubling, but that has no added value! Wait for members better at this than me though! I'm still guessing!! LOL
All I’m seeing is MD, Mechanical Doubling. The ALF of HALF is typical MD. It’s flat, shelflike, and has a reduction of the devices.
MD on HALF, no doubling seen on DOLLAR. Some die deterioration on UNITED/USA, at the tops near the rim. All told, the wear on this 40% silver Kennedy kinda relegates it to melt value only. They have to be MS to begin seeing a premium.
Never look at your coins while drinking. LOL Just kidding, but I'm barely seeing any doubling of any kind. Could be the lighting on the photo. I don't know
Yes, you are so right…I should have been specific…Rick’s coin has the doubled stars…none seen on the OP coin, just the things I mentioned in post #5.
