You really need to dust off that screen and VV lists no over MM's for 1972.Doesn't look like a match for either of the three RPM's but could be something. http://varietyvista.com/02b LC RPMs Vol 2/RPMs 1972S.htm
I presume that your digital microscope does not interface with a computer. Better to post a regular pic, not one off a led screen or monitor. The scan lines and screen pixels interfere with what needs to be seen.
Not an S/D. The raised area inside the S is just an artifact from the mm punch. I can't see anything in that raised area that looks like the standard D mm Looks like a little mechanical doubling on the top of the S
No OMM for 1972S http://www.varietyvista.com/02b LC RPMs Vol 2/RPMs 1972S.htm your options would be Repunched Mintmark, but no over mint mark, so no S over D. Maybe 1972-S RPM-001.... hard to say, looks like you have some circulation flattening going on to the date and mm also.... you need to check the other markers and stuff. I think the possibility exists of it being the RPM. you'd want pictures of the obverse of the coin, the mintmark location in relation to the date, and then, look for small die cracks on the pillars on the reverse memorial.
Turning off the flash will help with your photos, but I agree with Spark. John has pointed you at something to consider, but if you post better pictures, we might be able to help you further.
