I have a 1966 Dime I found and am looking for advice. It has a mark on the cheek that is very visible to the naked eye, the mark looks like a B and is protruding out making me think it had to be done during the minting process. Any thoughts or advice is very appreciated. Thank you
The "B" is contact marks from hitting the edge of the reeding on another coin. It is damaged, and worth face value. Keep looking, you will find something no doubt. Welcome to cointalk.
Welcome to Coin Talk @Terrys2580 I agree that it's caused by reed marks from another coin! That happens a lot and is not an error of any kind! Keep looking! Your special coin may end up in your pocket tomorrow!!
Don't listen to those guys. It is a 3 that fell off of a nickel and landed on the dime die. Just funning you @Terrys2580, and Welcome to CT where you'll get a lot of good advice and help, some even helpful. Thanks for posting the photo Full Image as it makes it easier to view.
