It has a mark on the cheek that is very visible to the naked eye, the mark looks like a B and is protruding out making me think it had to be done during the minting process. Any thoughts or advice is very appreciated. Thank you

The "B" is contact marks from hitting the edge of the reeding on another coin. It is damaged, and worth face value. Keep looking, you will find something no doubt. Welcome to cointalk.

As said above and from a very worn die as evidenced by the orange peel effect.

Welcome to Coin Talk @Terrys2580 I agree that it's caused by reed marks from another coin! That happens a lot and is not an error of any kind! Keep looking! Your special coin may end up in your pocket tomorrow!!

No, it's not from the minting process.

Don't listen to those guys. It is a 3 that fell off of a nickel and landed on the dime die.
