if i have to go though all this crap just to post a photo on this forum thanks i'll pass not worth my time, effort or anything just yuck
I was having trouble earlier today -- tried to "copy image" from my browser and paste it into a message, and it appeared to go in, but the post didn't show it. Guessing that either CoinTalk's XenForo configuration got messed up again, or there's something going on with its host provider. Try saving your image locally, then uploading the file...?
Hey, you figured out how to edit a thread title, that puts you ahead of most of us! Like I posted in the other thread, the site you're using to host your images wants you to pay so you can link them directly. Just upload them directly here, and you don't have to pay anybody.
Well, I'm three days old here LOL! and the first day I couldn't get a picture posted on the forum at ALL! The best I can figure it was just a new account restrictions. I'm using a desktop computer, not a cellphone or Laptop. I'm able to minimize the screen a bit, open folder on my computer that contains a picture I want to upload and click & drag it into forum message box and presto! I don't use any online photo hosting service, and I don't ever plan to. Here is an example of a drag & drop photo. This is my 55 DDO.
If posting a photo here at CT were my only problem of the day, I'd be pretty thankful. LOL Kidding aside, I know that in the past, I've had difficulty with posting photos, but it was my provider causing the problem (Hughes Net). I've also had problems on other sites when I use Safari and have to switch to Firefox to make them work, so possibly you could try changing the app you use? Just a thought.
In this case, it's the site where he chose to upload the images. They want between $2.99 and $9.99 per month to give you the privilege of directly linking to your images. Now, if you've been uploading images there for years and they suddenly want to charge you to display them, that's scummy, but understandable. But why upload new images of new acquisitions to a site like that, when there are several free alternatives, or you can just upload them directly here?
I simple take a picture of the coin saving it in computer under jpg. cent is in NGC being slabbed as of now. (nickel alloy cent) and I have never played a video game in my life but LOVE pinball.
If at first, you don't succeed try again and again. If that doesn't work cuss at it, have another drink, and go to bed. Tomorrow is another day on the planet God willing! Good luck.
