Canadian Quarters in 1968 were issued in silver and nickel, and the metal used to produce them can be determined with a magnet. If it is magnetic, it is made of nickel. If it is non-magnetic, it is made of silver.
I have a worn Canadian quarter.... I think its from the 30's. I kind of think its King George on it. Anyways, I have no year because its worn off. Supposedly those coins were sterling silver. maybe that's why its so worn???
George V. You might be able to tilt the coin under magnification and localized lighting to see if there is a date. A quick look shows that some dates have decent value, even in lower grades. Otherwise, it's worth spot price for silver or maybe more important sentimental value. I like the way the reverse looks with the contrast. Reminds me of the patina on a few SLQs I saw recently.
Welcome to CT @MachDJ7O. You may wish to start your own post for additional feed back. It appears to be a 1920-1936 Canadian quarter with King George V and would be silver. Too bad more details aren't visible. Check out this site: Numista
