What a cool type! I had to do a little digging on this one but it seems to be one of these gold fanams issued in South India. The auction cites Harathi but I can't seem to find this city/kingdom.

    Thanks!!!!

I have Fanam from: that has same weird Lion/ Peacock Head/ Poodle design. This one is different. My feeling is that much remains unpublished from India/ so many small Kingdoms/ Feudatories..... w39729 (1).jpg

That one is interesting @panzerman! I love these little abstract coins. I only have one and it isn't as fancy. It's really hard to find good information. Like you said, lots of unpublished stuff.
