1944 S LWC would this be feeder finger damage?

    Could be damage from the feeder fingers

    The ripples caught my eye. I've seen finger gouges around the N in one on wheats just not in this area.

    Common area for die gouges caused by feeder finger rubbing on the anvil die.

    Are you kidding? It's clearly an off-center, temporally-displaced overstrike, where the host coin was a Lincoln Memorial cent!

    "Was"? "Would have going to be"? Verb tenses get so confusing when time travel is involved...

    1944S,, I've seen a couple like this attributed to feeder fingers. you can search 1944-S lincoln cent feeder finger, and see what pops up, some worse than yours, some just like yours.
