Truth be told, I think receipt of one of these depends upon one's interest level AND whether the QuarterMaster can discern your identity and mailing address beyond your screen persona.

For one, I am amazed that he found me, which narrows down the possibilities of whom he can be.

The reason I figure there must be a "Watson" is the QM would never risk detection (before now) by mailing these packages from his home Postal Code. I am deducing he sends bundles of these to an accomplice who drops them off at the same Post Office each time.

The Quarter Master has not sent me any but I have managed to find a few in circulation.

If Vermont is on the wrong side of the river, New Hampshire is on the other side. Just saying.

I got one on a Nevada quarter. Embarrassingly, I don’t know what the counterstamp is right now because I didn’t have my specs on, and now it’s buried somewhere in the mountain of clutter in my desk at home.

Ye Olde Quarter Master doth enjoy his soapbox, doesn’t he?

Go git’em, QM. Keep being you.

I'm not sure there is an established order. Maybe we can use modern pop culture references like the movie Seven, or some such drivel.

This article illustrates the difficulty in knowing what order they should be in...

hmm well it would make even less sense to number one of them if there isn't a specific order to it..... it's a stumper..... the movie seven puts envy in place of Wrath and Wrath at the end it's kind of a "almost at the same time" thing though.

Numbering them is problematic for sure. See my edit.

Quoting from the article I linked to above...

Gilligan’s Island, (1963-1967) – According to the book Inside Gilligan’s Island by Sherwood Schwartz (St. Martin’s Press, 1994), the creator of the show confesses that he purposely patterned the ‘seven stranded castaways’ after the seven deadly sins. He confesses that he didn’t tell anyone until years after the show was over, because he thought that people would ridicule him for attributing such a serious theme to such a silly show. ‘The Professor’ – pride, ‘Mr. Howell (the millionare)’ greed, ‘Ginger- the movie star’ – extravagance -later lust, ‘Mary Ann’ – envy, ‘Mrs. Lovey Howell ‘ – thoughtless excess or gluttony, ‘The Skipper’ – anger, and ‘Gilligan’ – sloth.

So "The Skipper - anger" is the 6th sin. :)

this gilligan's island thing blew my mind!
I never could figure out why such a motley crew would even be together on the same charter boat in the first place.... because of the show creator of course!
