Hi All, Just purchased this 1890 CC Morgan and I am a Novice Collector, I have a basic understanding of grading and would appreciate your opinion on this Coin ! I would say is XF or better, It does have a few minor rim nicks but nothing too serious, I almost think it could go AU ? Let me know what you think ! I'm trying to figure out if it is real. The lower left star on the reverse looks "mushy." Mushy stars are usually an indication it is a counterfeit. I'd definitely have it submitted for verification of authenticity. I'd grade it as somewhere between 30 and 40, as rim dings really hurt a coins value.
