1797 Mexico 1/2 Real - New to me!

    Just picked up this very nice looking 1797 FM 1/2 Real. It looks a little nicer in hand than it photographs…still has a little luster and some decent toning. I’ve had plenty of these reales 1/2/4/8 over the years, but never one that had retained so much detail. Has it been cleaned at some point in its life? Probably. Is it still attractive? Absolutely.
    Thought I’d share.

    Nice off center strike , these are nice affordable specimens to add to ones collection. You is esspecially nice! Nice pick up.

    I only paid $50 for it (through a small online auction). I feel I got a sold value as compared to comps I could find online.

    You most certainly did get a deal nice coin great condition.
    I have one from the El Cazador wreck in a gold bezel I purchased years ago in the Caribbean that I paid a lot more than $50.

    Nice coin. I have a few low grade 1/2 reals that I picked out of junk boxes in the 80s
