For example this gives me a serious tickle pixelated I know working on it still new. Who has one better?
Welcome. First off, what you show is not a cud. If anything, it is a die chip. Hard to tell with how pixelated the picture is. FWIW, a cud is a break in the die that starts at the edge and goes into the design. Examples:
TBH, I don't have any die chips. Most aren't all that interesting to me. @Amberlarry22 has found some great 2021 quarter die chips though.
I messaged them and thank you for that I already followed your page. My son asked me to start a coin collection with him so we've been going through years of change I've got stocked up LOL. And we've been in learning process so please follow us and give us any assistance you can thank you.
I believe you're from Idaho not sure? What do you think of this coin? I know it is Grain y I'm working on better equipment
And here's a recent large die chip find on a new 2022 Maya Angelou quarter. The first 2022 coin of any denomination I've come across. I don't usually see the new coins until April or later. This quarter also appears to be a DDR with part of an extra hoop to the SW.
A great way to bond with your son and have fun doing it. How old is your son? Your coins should be labeled: "Covid coin" LOL If I haven't already welcomed you, Welcome to CT! Looking forward to more posts from you and your son.
I picked up a bunch of Lincoln Cents a while back and the collector was evidently, very into chips. He put a number into flips that I have yet to sort, mostly associated with LIBERTY and the date. Have a look at this site - Lincoln Cent Die Breaks Called “BIE” : Cuds on Coins (cuds-on-coins.com) I have yet to process all I have, but I'll be using this site for establishing attributions. Have fun collecting your chips and die breaks. Welcome to CT!
