Hello out there. Picked up a box of half dollars today. Found some interesting things but by far the most (so far) interesting is a half dollar with the heads side stamped with what would be on the colorized Georgia state quarter. Pictured below is what the quarter looks like. Now picture that over Kennedy's head. I can't get photos now, but will post as soon as possible. Anyone ever heard of something like this?

I did find one of the Obama covered halves in a box I was searching, but someone had already scratched the majority of it off over the date and mintmark .....too bad maybe in a couple thousand years it would be worth somethin
The sarcasm in this thread is pretty thick. Those colorized coins are sold on television and while some people like how they look most actual collectors view them with disgust. And sarcasm. If you like them enjoy but don't expect their value to ever go up.
The point is that the design from a quarter was found on a half dollar. Very unusual, though certainly worthless.. Joe
If your referring to the Half Dollars or other coins with Obama's face on them advertised by Montel Willams, note you don't see that anyjmore. It was found that those were only stickers added to normal coins and many fell off as soon as they were delivered.
Those colored coins make me cringe. Just like the "gold plated" quarters on HSN. Makes me sick. Should be illegal.

We understand, a half dollar with Georgia quarter colors. I realize you have an error. I was just commenting on the overall "defacing" of the coins in general.
Send it to 'Themansionshop', and he'll swear it's a unique, museum piece. He'll continue to ask to see the same kind of error.
Kind o' makes you feel sorry for the poor old sod......crying out, screaming for recognition......pathetic.
