Die Crack or Broken Die

    I just came across a Belgium 50 Franc, 1991, KM#168 that has an interesting Die Crack (or Broken Die) of the BELGIQUE on the reverse. The field between the crack is clear, so it was not machined.
    I am not normally an "error" coin collector. Any added value for this one? Advice please.

    Umm, the light flare from your flash really makes it hard to tell, but I definitely see what your taking about.

    Is the area incuse?

    That's too much of a coincidence for that to be exactly in the center of all those letters and curved accordingly.

    Looking at all the other examples, I guess it was intentionally made that way. Thanks for the replies!

    But there does appear to be something going on at the rim around eleven O'clock and coming down towards the 5. NAV even if it is a die crack, IMO.
