So I found a 1966 penny in my pocket change and I was wondering if this is a doubled die or machine doubling? Thanks ahead of time. Still new in the coin collecting world!
All are nice examples of machine doubling. You have an eye for seeing doubling so you will see a real one when it comes along. Keep up the search.
Here's a picture that helped me understand the differences, so maybe you will find it helpful as well.
Ashley, all of the coins you've shown are considered "Worthless Doubling" so NAV, or no added value. Sorry, but keep your eyes open.
Ashley, welcome to Coin Talk! Although your coins all exhibit MD, they are good examples for future reference! It appears you have a good eye! You're already seeing things most people never notice! Don't give up, it's out there and you'll find it some day!!!
Thanks. I'm excited about my new hobby. Been filling up my coin books with my kids, which has been awesome family time and extremely fun. Totally down for any reading and lessons to learn as much as possible too!
