AE13, 1.55g, 400-375 BC. Obverse: Griffin standing right with raised left fore paw (holding ??), dotted border. Reverse: Kantharos with grapes and grapevine, three stringed lyre at base, all within linear square. Listed as an unpublished variety in the family of BMC 36, SNG Cop 1450. Extremely rare with 7 known in 2016.
Wonderful coin! And much better than similar type: Ionia, Chios. ca.84-27 BC. AE (12mm, 2.16g). Sphinx seated right, forepaw raised over bunch of grapes. / Amphora. BMC 93. Former Kairos Numismatik ... though both of us appear to have taken our pics of the reverse upside-down our Kantharos and Amphora (drinking vessels) would be pouring our wine all over the floor
