    Collecting Nut Borderline Hoarder

    AE13, 1.55g, 400-375 BC.
    Obverse: Griffin standing right with raised left fore paw (holding ??), dotted border.
    Reverse: Kantharos with grapes and grapevine, three stringed lyre at base, all within linear square.

    Listed as an unpublished variety in the family of BMC 36, SNG Cop 1450. Extremely rare with 7 known in 2016.

    ... though both of us appear to have taken our pics of the reverse upside-down :shame:our Kantharos and Amphora (drinking vessels) would be pouring our wine all over the floor:jawdrop:

    teos5.jpg Teos is said to be the home city of Abdera a city which shares the same image on their coinage except that in the coinage of Abdera the griffin faces left.
