I have this 1922 peace dollar that I think is a near mint high relief 1922 Peace Dollar can someone tell me if I'm correct and if so how much I could sell it for?
Check out this old thread, especially post # 10,11,and 13 which discusses the diagnostic markers. http://www.cointalk.com/t49198 Jim
Yes I've seen that post jim but I keep getting conflicting reports on it, and plus the whole design of the model and eagle sit way above the coin itself, so i mean it is very hard to tell really.
To add to that I've read that the low relief ones the olive branch is disconected from the eagle and I even went on PCGS's website to try and verify it and they proved that.
It will never be a 1922 high relief until being confirmed as such by an expert then TPG. That's just the way it is with varieties such as this. With a coin that rare it has to be that way because there is so few and they are so likley "not to be". Sorry, that's just the way it is.
