Does anybody know the difference between a PR70 and a PF70? I know 70 is the highest grade a coin can get, but is there a PR proof and a PF proof? Thanks for your help.
Absolutely no difference. It was PR-70 when I was growing up, but that was a couple of decades ago. Either PR or PF is an acceptable prefix; they both mean "proof."
And for a second there I was having my doubts (Olympic Figurer Skating). Guess it's not the booze? :mouth:
They are exactly the same and are interchangeable. Just like XF and EF. They mean the same, just some graders use one, some the other.
