    So would I Dave :D not been able to find a decent book on early russian notes (yet) well not one in english anyway LOL

    I'm actually building a site right now on Russian notes that will cover 1898 to 1991, it'll be one of the few comprehensive English sources available online. I'll post the link here when that goes up. I'll have some of the notes up with descriptions and explanations as early as next week, starting with the period 1898 to 1915 :) There's definitely a need out there for a resource in English that also has actual photographs. Under construction right now!
