    R: FEL TEMP REPARATIO (happy times restored), soldier rushing left spearing fallen horseman, soldier in military garb with helmet and shield on left arm, soldiers right foot on shield on the ground, horseman laying across his stumbled mount, bare-headed, without beard, raising left hand in helpless defense.

    My only Constantius II, as Caesar:

    Constantius II Caesar (son of Constantine I), silvered billon centenionalis, Trier Mint (2nd Officina) 326 AD. Obv. laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C / Rev. Campgate with six rows, two turrets, no door, and star between turrets; PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS. In exergue: STR followed by pellet in crescent. RIC VII Trier 480S (p. 209), Sear RCV V 17618. 19 mm., 3.09 g.

    Reverse: GLORIA REI PVBLICAE. Enthroned figures of Roma (left) and Constantinopolis (right), holding between them shield inscribed VOT XXX/MVLT XXXX. Both holding sceptre in hand, Constantinopolis with right foot on prow

    John, That's a great score :jawdrop:! The coin looks FDC. My only coin of Constantius II is the modest bronze pictured below :meh:.

    Thanks Al/ That was one of the few coins that CNG graded FDC. Its remarkable that the thing suffered no ill effects for 1700 years. Even more so, since back in those days/ there where no SAFLIPS around to protect coins from wear/ environmental damage. I have s second Solidus from him minted in Siscia/ from Triton VI.:)
