Helmeted and cuirassed bust facing three-quarters right, holding spear and shield. Reverse: GLORIA REI PVBLICAE. Enthroned figures of Roma (left) and Constantinopolis (right), holding between them shield inscribed VOT XXX/MVLT XXXX. John, That's a great score ! The coin looks FDC. My only coin of Constantius II is the modest bronze pictured below .
Thanks Al/ That was one of the few coins that CNG graded FDC. Its remarkable that the thing suffered no ill effects for 1700 years. Even more so, since back in those days/ there where no SAFLIPS around to protect coins from wear/ environmental damage. I have s second Solidus from him minted in Siscia/ from Triton VI.
