    Brandon, first welcome to Coin Talk!! You have a 1964D nickel with a damaged mint mark from years of circulation! There isn't anything special about it!

    If somebody paid that much for a similar nickel the seller is laughing all the way to the bank to coin an old phrase.

    * Any links or references where one sold for $10,000?
    * How was it described?
    * Did the say it was an error? If so, what kind?
    * Was that the sale price or asking price?

    You saw one sell for this much, or you saw one advertised for this much on Etsy? There is a huge difference! Normal pocket change is regularly advertised for astronomical amounts on Etsy.

    Brandon, you have been a member here for almost 6 years. If your coin had what you believed is a valuable error, clear photos (full image, not thumbnail) would have been nice.
    As shown, you nickel is worth just that, a nickel.
