If they will/would attach a new label, have them orient it to match the coin's reverse...not upside-down...such a simple thing that just seems to fall on deaf ears (what's between) for regular holdering of most U.S. coins...it just can't be that hard.
Well, I would probably remove what remains as carefully as possible without damaging or scratching the plastic. Then I would leave it blank.

@Randy Abercrombie I just thought of something...I may be able to make one. I use a clear decal sheet for my trains, might be worth a try.
@Mac McDonald I always wondered why they put the sticker upside down on the reverse. I've even asked when having a coin re-slabbed but they ignore me.
You're thinking about it the wrong way. If you flip the slab over, the coin is upside down. The sticker is placed appropriately on the back side, opposite the front label.
