What do you all think is the most beautiful US currency note? If you want to list top 2 or 3 ... that's fine My top two would be ... 1. 1896 $5 "Electricity Presenting Light to the World" note (best design) 2. 1905 $20 "Technicolor" Gold Certificate (best colors)
I rarely will buy notes because they are not my cup of tea. I merely wanted to say those are beautiful notes you have!!
Phubanks... Excellent looking notes.... I am amazed at the skill of the engravers that is represented by the finished print. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful notes! I wish I could afford something like that. Here's a note I don't own (obviously), but find strangely compelling...
1. Wood Chopper 2. 5 dollar Indian Head 3. Educational note are 3 of my favorites that are full of details and beautiful art work although I dont have any of them in my collection as of yet.:thumb:
Yakpoo no one owns one of these notes...as they are only for payment and transfers between banks. In fact Warren Buffett or Bill Gates could not get one or buy one!
I had one of these notes and sold it as I don't collect paper well I do have a few notes....however this note I had graded came back as a VF 35 EPQ it was one pretty note . I let it go to a collector who I knew would appreciate it more than I would as a paper collector.
Interesting...well, I guess if we get the Hyper-Inflation everyone's been talking about, this could become our new one (1) dollar bill. :rolling:
