I have bank BU wrapped rolls of 2005 D Bison Nickels but I understand that almost 100% of the "Speared" ones were released in Texas. My rolls are not from Texas.
I think I'll leave mine wrapped. The price of these has been too high for me from the start and still is now for me to buy one.
    Neat, but I think overpriced.
Good luck finding one, don't buy unc rolls hoping for one though. The chances are extremely slim.

You might find one in the wild. You can find anything searching. If I remember correctly, there are "Wounded" ones too with gouges in less injurious places on the buffalo. LOL
I don't see this issue, P or D in circulation very often. I think they are often hoarded or tucked away just because they are neat one year types.

The speared buffalo was one of the first varieties I was aware of to look for. I have never found one, and I have searched a lot of nickels.
