I like the backstory and Laura’s design better than old man George.

Just glad it's still referred to by many as the Washington quarter...and do like the new/old obverse compared to what it could have been.

I guess it is just me, but I do not like the new design, front or back.

    Lucky you.
As for the design, I usually like to see something different than the "same-old-same-old" but there is something happening in U.S. coinage designs that makes it a little unnerving to me. Our history of using a presidents likeness on our circulating coins, usually has them facing to the left, with the exception being the Lincoln cent. Now, the new nickels changed that and so did this quarter design. Should that matter? Not really, but traditions are something us older folk hang onto with a tight grip. Just my thoughts.

I got a pristine Denver mint one in change the other day. I like the new obverse. I like the old obverse too.

The reverse will continue to change quite often anymore, so this will be the only one in my collection.

Would love to see this new obverse with the old eagle reverse at least once. Kind of hoping they'll go back to the eagle on the reverse similar to what they did with the Jefferson Nickels (new obverse w/ old reverse).

I got my first ones today as well. Nice friend to send to you. I told my husband if there are more, get them. I can always do the same for someone. Congrats!
