A Silver Ike in OGP

    Here’s a 1973-S Silver Ike in government packaging. I’d forgotten all about these until I opened one of the hundreds of sealed packages that I have. Probably the only one I own. A low mintage for this year.

    The '73 is my favorite of the blue packs. You made me want to look at mine. It has started toning around the periphery of the obverse

    Think some/other OGP for these was a plastic holder similar to what many of the GSA Morgans came in.

    Interesting factoid, there are two known MS 1973 S coppernickel clad Ike dollars that have been found in those blue OGP envelopes.
