None of my Canadian coins are anything too special, but I'm working on a collection of large cents. Here's my favorite so far, I especially like how the obverse looks.
LOVE the 1948 Canadian silver dollar..... I am looking for 1945, 1947 and 1948. Need to keep searching!
Here's my 47ML. I was very fortunate to get several raw from grandpa 50 years ago, which led to a lifetime of collecting interest. This one refuses to be adequately photographed. In hand, it's like a mirror. It's more like this but I can't capture it straight on.
I have developed into "a gold bug" in my old age. I like these short lived $5 and $10 gold pieces. Here is the $10. The Canadian Government actually melted a number of these coins not too long ago. Back when I was in high school, American collectors were forbidden to own the 1967 Canadian $20 gold piece. I'll bet a fair number were smuggled into the country. An example of the coin appeared on the cover of "Coins" magazine. The authors went to Canada to photograph it because they could not bring it into the United States. Although they said they took color photos, they ended up using a colorized black and white photo because, they said, it was a better representation of the coin. Such was life before digital photography. Now there is so little interest in this beautiful coin that it sells for near melt. That's good for me. I got to buy one "on the cheap" a few years ago.
