1907 indian head penny

    Wondering if anyone knows what would make a 1907 indian head penny appear silver? I looked online and couldn't find any answers

    Pictures?I'm pretty sure it's not an error most likely plated,a ton of possibilities including mercury!!be careful:nailbiting::nailbiting:.

    High school chemistry classes used to have students do the experiment that turned copper coins into silver, so maybe it was used for that. In any case, PMD.
