Old Soviet coins.

Gentlemans. I introduce You my old Soviet coins today. I like it so much, because it is a coins of my Motherland.

RSR (Russian Soviet Republic) was found in 7 november 1917 - in the next day after the Great October Socialist Revolution. In January 1918 RSR was changed in the RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic). Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924) become a first ruler of new country.
During 1917-1923 Russia suffered from the Civil War. But in 1923 all enemies was defeated and become a Peace at last.
In 30 December 1922 was found the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) and RSFSR was entry in new gigantic country.
RSFSR become a heart of USSR. In 26 December 1991 RSFSR was changed in the Russian Federation and become the sucessor of USSR.

 

RSFSR minted own coins during 1921-1923. It is interesting: although USSR was found in 30 December 1922, but coins of RSFSR minted in 1923 too.
Look at this 10 kopeks 1923. Silver .500, weight - 1,8 g.

50 kopeks 1922, silver .900, weight - 9,998 g. Mintage - 8224000.

One roubel 1921, silver .900, weight - 19,996 g. Mintage - 1000000.

 

Although USSR was found in 30 December 1922, but in 1923 on it"s territory circulated old RSFSR"s coins. First coins of USSR minted only in 1924.

5 kopeks 1924, bronze. Rather expensive coin (50$ in F and 100$ in VF).

 

The Mrs has a small collection of Soviet commemrative 3 & 5 rubel along with some regular coins also a number of pre revolution ones whenever I get the chance I pick up one for her
