In the 11 days since I posted this, I have been contacted by some who think this is worthy of being authenticated. Would this Kennedy Half have a value that makes this reasonable? Anyone have an idea of a value in a slab, say by ANACS? Randy
If you're interest in it is as a commodity I don't know that it would be worth it. It looks to be struck-in debris. I'd want it authenticated if I were collecting it just to know what they say it is. Something like this on the general market is somewhat an oddball. How it's marketed can influence that bidding. I'm thinking to a collector it's pretty much a wash for you if you get it slabbed. As there's no "book" on these, that's speculation, of course. The next one may come along and say a buck three-eighty authenticated, or even more, who knows?
