Here are a couple of pieces that I picked up today. I didn't intend to buy anything as I was just swinging by to see what was up at the local shop, but once I got to looking I came across these pieces and the price was right on both of them. The 21-S looks to be about a VG and I was happy with it as I haven't done a lot of searching for any buffs for quite a while now. The 3 cent on the other hand was listed as AU/MS. I really couldn't see any wear on it, and the price was pretty low. There is a spot of what appears to be verdigris at 10 o'clock in between the A and T in STATES, but I can take care of that relatively easily with some verdigone. Any opinions on the grade on this, if you see some wear feel free to point it out.
Nice additions - I like them both. On the three cent I might(no expert by a long shot) see just a touch of wear on the hair on the forehead - but that could just be the pictures. I also do not see any wear on the reverse. Nice coin.
Jeez. It looks like you got an awesome 3 cent piece. No comment on the buff as it is totally out of my area. Try soaking the 3-cent in distilled water. You never know - and I'm sure you know this my friend.... I got lucky the other day - I got a roll of "cull" lincolns as a free gift for another purchase and I got lucky on two the them - you never know!
