Purchased my first two ancient coins

    That first one is absolutely beautiful! Not that big of a fan of ancients, but I must say, with a coin and picture like that...

    Dont know much about ancients, What are the price ranges on basic
    Coinage??

    $5 to $5000 gets most. Below that, they tend to be hard to read and ugly to see; above that and you are generally competing for things way past 'basic'. It is not hard to assemble a collection of a several thousand types without going over $500. It is easy to have fun with the hobby and never go over $50.

    This is a very true statement. I've actually put a $30 limit on myself, and I have had quite a bit of enjoyment out of this hobby. If anyone wants to see what that range can get you, my gallery is here. There are a couple there that I received as gifts that I know cost a bit more, but they were still under $50. It's not the prettiest collection out there, but there are a few gems, and plenty of history.

    Most of mine were well under $5-10 :whistle: but got a few pretty decent ones between $10-$40
