On a different note, when cataloging coins of Constantinus I with Iovi Conservatori on the reverse, I noticed the hairstyle of some of the pieces. It deals with an item in front of the ear, which starts at the top of the ear and extends to the bottom of the ear ( first type ), sometimes starting on the forehead and continuing down to the bottom of the ear (second type ). first type: obv: impconstantinuspfavg rev: iovicon-servatori SISCIA mint SIS (in field B) RIC VII nr 5 bust B1 obv: impconstantinuspfavg rev: iovicons-ervatori NICOMEDIA mint SMN (in field A) RIC VII nr 12 buste B1 obv: impcflvalconstantinuspfavg rev: iovicons-ervatori NICOMEDIA mint SMN ( in field Delta ) RIC VII nr12 buste B1 obv: impcflvalconstantinuspfavg rev: iovicons-ervatori NICOMEDIA mint SMN (in field E) RIC VII nr 12 buste B1 second type: obv: impconstantinuspfinvavg rev: iovicons-ervatori THESSALONICA mint TS.A. they are sideburns...he also sometimes has a moustache during this hair phase, There is a clear moustache on your first coin, from Siscia. Here is a coin of Constantine II going through the same phase. and a groovy example of Constantine I

I feel I would be remiss if I did not post something here. As I'm sure just about all of you know there are a lot of post missing from this thread. 12 posts were removed. There are 3 reasons really. One being because some of them clearly come across as being personal attacks. Two being that some of you seem to see it as being acceptable for you to repeat the exact words and phraseology that you are claiming are offensive and or racist when another member uses them. In other words it's OK for you to say it but not them - in your opinion. Well it isn't ! If they are guilty of doing something wrong - then so are you. And three would be because it is not any of your jobs to publicly judge other members or what other members say ! If and when any member sees something that they "think" violates the forum rules, then what you're supposed to do is report the offending thread/post - and let the mod staff make the judgement calls - not you !
