Is this a lamination?

I recently purchased this coin, an 1854
Liberty Seated Quarter. It has arrows at the date and no rays making it a variety 3 coin. 12,380,000 were minted.

On the reverse from the D in UNITED through the S in STATES, it appears to be a lamination. If you look closely it ends in the middle of the T, which can be noticed at the top of the T. To me it appears to be a lamination before the strike occurred. I just can’t quite make it out so I’m not sure about it. Can I please get the opinion of other members? Thank you in advance.

Can't say for sure but also looks like something similar or a die crack at the "R" in "Quar".

Looks like die failure of some sorts—either a crack, misalignment , or actual die breakage.

This coin now resides in a type set in an older Whitman’s album.

That's a tough one. Appears to be a faulty planchet but then the bottom of the D is missing, like a hit of some type.
The die crack, paddy54 brings up could be contributing, but I don't know. Little to no experience with this type of issue, so I'm just looking and guessing based on my own knowledge.

I have it in hand and I can’t tell but it does look like the die is about to break in half.
