Funny Looking Color

    looks like tape (texture and line) after residue cleaned off. PMD Welcome to coin talk.

    Very interesting link. Thank you for it. I have others that may fall in the "Woodies" type. Am I wrong to assume that improper Alloy Mixed coins would be slightly above face value?

    Yes, but the '42 cent isn't one of them, imo.

    Looks like someone zinc plated it to me. I worked in a plating room at an electrical breaker factory back in the late 70's. We zinc plated all kinds of coins, just for giggles. Hell, that could be one of them. :zombie:
