In honor of Sir Winston the Poop (His formal name in case you didn't know), here is my favorite quote:

I don't own an ancient coin with a bear but here is my favorite coin with a bear on it:
    slazzer-edit-image (20).png

And to keep it "Ancient", since my bear coin is from Germany, here is the only ancient coin in our collection that was minted in Treveri (modern day Trier, Germany).

Constantius II, AE4, GLORIA EXERCITVS, TRS crescent.png
    Constantius II
    AE4
    337-341 AD
    Treveri
Obverse: CONSTANTI-VS PF AVG, rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right
Reverse: GLORIA EXERCITVS, two soldiers holding spears and shields with one standard between them; M on banner. Mintmark TRS crescent.

Not worldwide. Winnie the Pooh is banned in China, and people who dare mention him face time in jail, since somebody posted this on a Chinese social network and it became viral :

I'm afraid I have no coins, ancient or otherwise, depicting bears. But here is one of my favorite possessions: a letter that A.A. Milne wrote to my father in 1927, when my father was seven years old, in response to a letter my father had sent him asking what the A.A. stood for: detail of Autograph - A.A. Milne letter April 8, 1927 (2).jpg

And indeed he stopped after Now We Are Six and the second Pooh book (The House at Pooh Corner) were published. But despite being grown up, I will never forget how much I loved those books, as my father did before me and my son after me.

We are actually in the pediatric ER right now with the newest tadpole. He is wrapped up in a Winnie the Pooh blanket that has been used by each of his siblings before him and has served them well.

Don't have a Bear in the collection. My son and daughter loved Pooh books and videos. Ahhh, those were the days. Reading until the kids on either side of me fell asleep, or sometimes Daddy fell asleep first!
