silver Trier campgate coin .Clipped ?

    Hey all,
    here a silver campgate coin minted in Trier for Constantinus I. The piece is damaged, I wonder if the side is 'cut'. As a comparison for the diamerter, a 1 cent coin of the USA.

    sky, For comparison is a billon nummus of Constantine II, struck at the Trier Mint from my collection. The coin is 19 mm, the same as your Lincoln penny. It looks like two pieces were broken-off from your siliqua or argenteus for small change. Silver was so much more valuable than billon or bronze this wasn't unusual.

    ...naw... not clipped....metal erosion i'd say...looks to be billon also..

    Likely broken not clipped and it's silver not billon, it's a half argenteus from 307.
