CoinCorgi Tell your dog I said hi!

I have 4 Flying Eagle Cents.

I think I have the Large Letters and the Small Letters correct on the 1858's in the album, but I have a 3rd 1858 that I am not sure about - please provide your opinion on the last coin pictured below.

1858 ? Letters (not included in album)...

I am currently experimenting with taking pictures, so please forgive the low quality of the photos (as well as the occasional album lint).

Let me know if you want any additional pictures and I will try to accommodate.

So no one has an opinion on whether this is a Large Letters or a Small Letters? I think it is Small Letters.

agreed, small letters, I thought you were hoping it was the 8/7... which it isn't.

Both coins in the album appear to be Large Letters. The coin not in the album is a Small Letter. 1858 FE.jpg

I messed up in my attribution:banghead: The above coin is a Small Letter as the bases of the A and the M in America don't touch. The other two cents have the touching base designating the Large Letter variety. The Large Letter is the more uncommon of the variety commanding a premium in the higher grades
