I can’t find one that’s sold in the past 5 years. What is the market value these days on this coin? Thanks!
It's a more desirable type than the common "Livia seated" reverse. That's in swell condition too. I could see a dealer slap $1,000 - $1,350 for it. Probably more. And this is raw, slabbed means nothing to me.
For ease of research here is ac search: https://www.acsearch.info/search.ht...de=1&fr=1&it=1&es=1&ot=1¤cy=usd&order=0 And here are recent examples on CNG: https://cngcoins.com/Search.aspx?PA...R_TYPE_ID_2=1&SEARCH_IN_CONTAINER_TYPE_ID_4=1 Great coin. Going for hundreds into the thousands. With the cherry condition yours is in I think @Mat is spot on.
Here are prices realized in the last year or so https://www.coinarchives.com/a/resu...+quadriga+denarius&s=0&upcoming=0&results=100
Nice coin OP! I figure I would also offer a good site to search for recent auction prices to compare. https://www.sixbid-coin-archive.com/#/en/search?text=tiberius denarius lugdunum quadriga&sort=date_desc I believe that I found your coin there. It hammered for 600 USD @ Heritage Auctions 1/21/2020: Tiberius, as Augustus (AD 14-37). AR denarius (19mm, 3.86 gm, 11h). NGC Choice XF 4/5 - 4/5. Lugdunum, AD 15-16.
