Ryro Trying to remove supporter status

With the passing of my mother yesterday (1941-2022 and married to my father 49 years, the woman should be buried with honors on that fact alone)I hadn't been thinking about doing much of anything but grieving, talking to family and drinking.
When what should arrive in the mail, but a gift sent to me from my good CT pal @galba68 :)
Back in late November he and I sent each other Saturnalia presents. A month and a half later and the gifts I sent him are still in customs and the tracking on his gifts to me had said that customs "returned" them.
Well, they returned them forward, to me!
    And they are AMAZING:

Filled with beautiful coins and information on the region, Belgrade's history from the Numismatic record is just that. I am very eager to read this cover to cover. I hope they reference find spots etc.
And then a bonus book on Singidunum with stunning images of art, architecture, statuary (that's gotta be the most beautiful bust of Macrinus that I've ever seen!) and of course pictures of ancient coins!
    20220114_140524.jpg

This really brightened up my day and reminded me that there is still lots of love and kindness in life, even when grief is so damned powerful.
Thanks @galba68 You're a good friend and I sure hope customs gets you your gifts from me.
Good old ancient mythological customs humor:

And I suppose now would be a good time to post some of my Diva coins and empress coins in honor of my mom. Even if I'm not powerful enough to get her portrait put on coin, I've always loved her so much that I would had I the opportunity. All of my love and godspeed

You're not near the end, and I know you'll find the time. You're not wasted, and I know you'll find your way back home.

I'm sorry for your loss. May she (Mom) rest in peace.

    My condolences on your loss.

I will send something via PM that may help.

In the meantime, here's the first woman to mint her own coins. I'm sure she would have preferred you as a son, because her own sons drowned her.

I'm sorry for your loss @Ryro. I know you will miss her. My father died in 1984 and mother in 1998. I miss them both terribly. My wife and I will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Sad to learn about your mother's passing.

I personally haven't been able to contribute and post coins/pics on the board that much of late. Life calls, and I'm away from home. I hope to be able to get back to it a little more in the near future.

In the meantime, here's a pic of a coin to honor your mom.

I'm very sorry for your loss, Ryro. Everyone grieves in their own way, but please don't get stuck inside the house...find time to get out for a walk, and talk to yourself, or to your mom, but get outside and go for at least a short walk now and then.
