I just received my first purchase from French eBay seller NumisCoin. The purchase was modest-– a Diocletian follis from Ticinum attractively priced at €45. But what was most impressive to me was this packaging worthy of a nice auction. The coin was sealed in a black pouch within this folder. Shipping on the coin was nine euros, so I suppose one pays for packaging. However, it was shipped internationally with tracking info. Post anything you like, though it might be nice to hear of other impressive shipping practices.
Its very nice when a seller goes the extra mile , you almost want to make another purchase. Yes shipping is costly ,but honestly what is seen in your image its well worth the money . Plus the things you dont see...like impeccable service, good communication, and a professional look.
I've bought many world crown size silvers from them and had decent service. Sometimes it takes a while to ship but when it has arrived, I get what you got. But I never got the black bag attachment, mines always been 2x2 paper flip attached well to the cardstock.
Not sure why I got the fancy black bag treatment. Honestly, it looks a lot like a condom wrapper. But at my age, I have more use for the coin.
Hmmm. I’m not sure why the coin would necessarily be more transmissive of Covid than, say, the folder, envelope, and packaging itself. I think we know by now that the virus is predominantly airborne. Maybe they’ve just upgraded their packaging and I’m an early beneficiary.
I like the coin! I got a few coins from Kunker in this wonderful box a few years ago and took a few photos: ATB, Aidan.
I once bought a $4.99 or $6.99 Tetricus from them off ebay and got the same excellent packaging as a surprise. The packaging was way too nice for such a low value coin but did make me remember them and think to purchase from them again.
Interesting to see they also use real postage which has been hand stamped, instead of a boring printed label.
… and I forgot to mention the piece of French candy—Carambar—in a separate compartment in the envelope!
Also catching my eye is the philately. It's almost as if they selected and arranged all the old-fashioned postage with an eye toward aesthetics. Most businesses use automated postage nowadays. Yeah. Now I see your post! Yeah, like that.
Hmmm... Where are they located? I ordered from a dealer in France with the website Numiscorner with some similar packaging. A modest purchase. Was definately not expecting the nice packaging.
when i buy fron savoncoin (on ebay) when i get 10 or more slabs, they usually put em in a pcgs box, which is way cool, got most of my boxes that way, i have about 30..lol
I recently received a coin, which I had ordered from Numiscorner, which is in France. It also had similar nice packaging, as the OP.
Best packaging and overall service were in no particular order Roma, TimeLine, Savoca, CGB and Naumann.
Wonder if they are the same company or affiliated, just one does ancients, the other more modern coins? Either way, I thought it was way over the top packaging for my modest $15 purchase. But it does make one feel like they really cared about your order to take the time to make it look nice. Of course, I'm used to coins getting coins thrown into padded envelopes in a 2x2.
